I have been diagnosed abo...Thanks so much, Dagmar. I have been diagnosed about a month ago and my speech, while affected, is still understandable. I must admit I am confused. I don't know whether it's better to accept the inevitable and live for now, or to try to "extend" things by maybe months, according to some things I have read. Reading that your speech issues started years ago and you are still speaking does give one hope that this disease doesn't necessarily have a 2 year or less (worst case) timeline. There are so many thoughts that I have difficulty expressing and, ironically, I am a writer.
